I used to have a Fly Fly DG1000 2.6 meter glider, compared to the ASW28 it was a pig. Probably a bit unfair, it actually flew very well provided the speed was kept in check. If flying speed was allowed to drop too far the resulting tip stall could be very dramatic and would certainly wake you up.
